Configured with a Ross Synergy 100 Production Switcher, two Compix CG stations, three Avid LANshare Client Stations, 24-channel Strand Light Board, and 20-channel Mackie Audio Mixer. The production truck style configuration with stadium seating allows up to ten students to be working during a show.
Nine hundred square feet of space equipped to hold up to two permanent sets and one interchangeable set for our student-produced television shows. It is equipped with a light grid, curtain cyc, camera jib, three studio cameras, teleprompters, and 30 Mole Richardson studio lights. Thirty feet of cyc-wall with chroma green paint included!
The engine that drives our facility is an Avid Unity Network. Over twenty client stations running Avid Media Composer are available for students to edit news stories, music videos, short films, and projects for clients. Fourteen edit bays line the exterior walls of the facility to provide a professional work environment.
Student news producers have daily access to Sony DSR-250 camcorders for shooting stories around the district and community. Junior Video Production students learn the ropes with Panasonic AG-DVC30 cameras before moving up to the DVX-100B their senior year. Arri Light Kits, fishpole mounted shotgun mics, tracks, and a Mathews Doorway Dolly are also available for use when they shoot their projects.
